Craith stories

Zena Masudi

‘My mother had me when she was very young and because she couldn’t take care of me, I became a foster child. But because of that I have two families and I find that very special.’
Zena, 23, lives in Antwerp and is from all walks of life. She studied Media and Entertainment Business, loves dancing and fitness and has already been behind the scenes of photo shoots working as a stylist. Her big ambition, however, is to make it happen as a model.

Would you like to work as a model?

‘Very much, even if I have to travel all over the world. I would love it. Talking to everyone on the sets, being in front of the camera, wearing different looks, I would really go all out for it. It’s just my dream.’
Do you have a special skincare routine?

‘I make sure I do my skincare routine every night. I don’t use many products, but I do prefer to use a few good ones. I also know from experience that I have to use products that are suitable for my skin. I grew up in a white family and used the same products at first, and that doesn’t always work very well. Furthermore it’s also important that I use SPF. Just because I have dark skin that I can’t burn in the sun. I do have to use sunscreen use, otherwise I get especially bothered with the skin on my face.’

You look very confident in front of the camera. Are you the same in real life?

‘Of course I’m a woman and sometimes I do feel self-conscious, but I think I’m more confident than most people. That’s also because of what I’ve already been through.’

Your favorite outfit?

‘I really like baggy jeans with heels and a tighter top combined with a blazer or a cool bomber jacket. That’s really my thing. Definitely heels and jeans, those are my ultimate essentials.’
